About Me
I am a mathematics teacher educator who enjoys research, STEM education, and collaborating with others.
Research
My central research focus is to understand ways to increase the number of individuals from socially excluded groups entering and pursuing pathways toward STEM degrees and careers. This is accomplished through three lines of research: (1) examining individual’s identity(ies) in one or more STEM disciplines, (2) understanding the role of making and tinkering in formal and informal learning environments, and (3) investigating family engagement in and interactions around STEM-related activities.
